Information: HIGHWAY FATALITY- RIPLEY MAN DIES THREE MONTHS LATER- Darrell B. Fox, Sr., 50, of 302 Bridge Street, Ripley, died Tuesday as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident here on August 9. Fox died at Charleston General Hospital, where he had been a patient since the accident. Fox was a passenger in his own car which was being driven by Ralph D. Stutler, 25, of Stone Ridge Road, Ripley, when the car went out of control near the Fas-Chek supermarket on Route 33 west. The car left the roadway, hit a pile of dirt, then rolled over several times before coming to rest on its wheels. The Ripley Rescue Squad had to work several minutes to free Fox from the wreckage. He was initially taken to Jackson General Hospital but was subsequently transferred to Charleston General for treatment of his head injuries. Deputy Homer Fisher investigated the accident. Funeral services will be held for Fox, Thursday at 2 p.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating. Burial will follow in the Otterbein Cemetery. Fox was the son of Mrs. Velva Sayre Fox, 302 Bridge St., Ripley and the late Dencil Fox. Other survivors include one son, Michael D. Fox, Romney, W. Va.; two brothers, Blake of Huntington and Roy Adam of Odessa, Texas. Fox belonged to Local 132 B, Charleston. Friends will be received at Casto Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
