Information: Funeral services were held on Feb. 18 at Grace Episcopal Church for Frederick Hanson (Fred) Fowler, 85. The Rev. Thomas Baker officiated and burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery. Mr. Fowler was born in Baltimore, MD., on Aug. 18, 1881, and died in St. Josephs's Hospital last Wednesday. He was the son of Frederick and Mary Rossiter Fowler. Survivors include his widow, Helen Brown Fowler, his daughter, Betty and a sister, Laura Fowler of Baltimore. Mr. Fowler entered the service of the B&O on June 1, 1899. At the time of his retirement he was assistant general freight agent at Pittsburgh. He was the third generation in the service of the B&O. His father, Frederick Fowler, was assistant to the general freight agent, Baltimore. His grandfather, Robert Fowler, state treasurer of Maryland during four terms 1862-1870, was a director on the part of the state of Maryland in the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Co. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church where he had served on the vestry and acted as senior warden. He had been made an honorary vestryman for life. He was a member of the Lion's Club and the Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce. He was a life member of the Traffic Club of Pittsburgh and the Traffic and Transportation Association of Pittsburgh.
