Information: Elizabeth A. Fowler, 87, of Ravenswood, died January 7, 1995, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. She was born in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Frederick Hanson and Helen Brown Fowler. She lived much of life in Ravenswood and Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore. She was a graduate of National Park Junior College, Forrest Glen MD and United States Business School, New York. She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Art, New York, and Columbia University. She taught English and dramatic art at a junior college, worked in a law office in New York and was assistant librarian at the Ravenswood Library for many years. She was appointed by the governor to the Blennerhassett Historical Park Commission, serving from 1986-88. She was a charter member of the Jackson County Historical Society and a member of the Ravenswood Cemetery Board of Directors for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Jackson County Democratic Club, Kith n' Hills Little Theater Group, Jackson County Humane Society, Friends of the Blennerhassett and the Episcopal Church Women. She was a lifelong Episcopalian and a member of Grace Episcopal Church for more than 50 years. There is no immediate family surviving. Memorial services were held Tuesday at Grace Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Elizabeth Walker officiating. Burial in the family plot, Ravenswood Cemetery. Straight-Tucker & Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood was in charge of arrangements.
