Information: FORMER COURT MEMBER DEAD-LONG ILLNESS PROVES FATAL TO ""MONT"" FORD FRIDAY- L. Mont Ford, well known farmer and former county official of Ravenswood, died at his home at 1:45 p,m.last Friday following several years illness. Mr. Ford, who was 85 years old at the time of his death was a member of the Jackson county court in 1918, at the time when the county's new court house was constructed. For the past eight years he had been in ill health as the result of an injury suffered when he fell from a load of baled straw, striking his head on a concrete pavement. He was born March 4, 1863, a son of the late L. R. an Elizabeth Ford, and was a charter member of the United Brethren church of North Ravenswood. Besides his wife, Mary Ford, the deceased leaves a half-sister, Mrs. Fannie Linsett of North Ravenswood and the following children: Lawrence M. Ford, the funeral director of Crow Summit, E. L. Ford of Belpre, Ohio, Austin Ford of Los Angeles, California, Charles N. Ford of Parkersburg, Kenna Ford of Ravenna, Ohio, Mrs. Maude Safreed and Mrs. Able Nutter, Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. O. C. Hutchinson of Ravenswood. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the United Brethren church of Ravenswood with burial in the Ravenswood cemetery.
