Information: JACKSON COUNTY MAN KILLED BY TRAIN - The remains of Jim Flowers, who was run down and killed by a train on the T & O.C. near Nelsonville on Thursday arrived here last night and were taken on through to the home of the deceased in Jackson County.  A telegram on Friday gives the following details of the tragedy:  James Flowers, aged 36, was struck by a northbound T. & O.C. coal train at Hamley Run last evening about 7 o'clock and his death resulted about 5 hours later.  Mr. Flowers is a special foreman on the Hocking Valley construction gang and together with a crew of men came from Jackson county, W. Va. to put in a double track from Nelsonville to Beaumont.  Last evening after supper, he took his pipe and went for a walk.  He was seen walking along the track, but no one saw the accident or knew just how it happened.  When found by the crew, he was thought to have been killed instantly.  Doctors Hill and Cable were called from Nelsonville and found that his injuries would prove fatal.  His right arm was severed at the shoulder, the right leg at the knee and he received severe internal injuries.  His remains were sent to his home in West Virginia today---Saturday's Sentinal.  The remains were brought to the home of the deceased on last Friday evening.  Mr. Flowers is survived by his wife and four children.  The funeral in charge of the O.U.A.M. lodge was held at 10 o'clock Saturday.  Interment was in the Antioch cemetery.   (copied by Ada Ruth Sayre)
