Information: DEATH OF ELIZABETH FLESHER - She was born Oct. 4, 1802 and died March 3, 1880, near Reedsville, Ohio. Her parents, William and Barbara Bennett, migrated from Harrison Co. Va. to Jackson Co. Va., when she was a little girl. She was united in marriage with Col. Isaac Flesher in 1817, and was the mother of eleven children, four of whom have preceded her to the glory world. She was left a widow in 1841 with eight children and with very little of this world's goods. Her friends tried to persuuade her to put her children among her acquaintances, but her answer was ""never while I can use the shuttle and spinning wheel"". It was the joy and pride of her life to see that her children were comfortable and happy, not only in the goods of this life but in the life to come. Her children will never forget her prayers and exhortations to meet her in Heaven. At a meeting a few days before she took sick, she was speaking and exclaimed ""that she had been on the old ship over sixty years and would soon land on Caanan's happy shore"". Her death was peaceful, without a struggle, she fell asleep in Jesus. Rev. E. W. Howe preached her funeral from the text ""I would not live always"". We mourn not as those that have no hope.
