Information: Randolph Churchill Flemming, 87, Grantsville, founder of Rubber Fabricators Inc., died August 28 in Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division following an extended illness.  He was born at Newburg, N.Y., a son of the late Albert Burr Churchill and Viola Paltridge Flemming.  He was an industrialist and businessman who was a large contributor to economic and industrial development in many areas of West Virginia.  He came to Grantsville in 1954 and established Rubber Fabricators Inc. and served as president of that company.  Through the years he and his associates developed fabricating plants in Richwood, Cairo, Smithville and Union, W.Va., as well as Apex, N.C.  In 1967 he received the Small Businessman of the Year Award.  He had served as a delegate to Europe and traveled abroad representing West Virginia's effort to attract foreign industry to W.Va. under the administration of former Governor Arch A. Moore Jr. in the 1960's.  He was a member of the Knotts Memorial United Methodist Church, Eureka Lodge No. 40 AF & AM in Grantsville and was an admiral in the Cherry River Navy.  He is survived by his wife, Anna Schmid Flemming; one son, Dr. Albert B.C. Flemming of Ravenswood; three daughters, Yvonne F. Lawrence of Newburg, N.Y., Julia F. Monk of Ripley, and Susan Ann Flemming of Walworth, Wis.; one sister, Lucille F. Runge of Cambridge, N.Y., and one brother, Donald Burr Flemming of Clearwater, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Clayton Flemming and one sister, Barbara Howe-Pierce.  Services were Thursday at the Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg with the Rev. James Cunningham officiating.  Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, N.Y.
