Information: DEATH CLAIMS SIMON FISHER - FORMER COUNTY RESIDENT TAKEN SUDDENLY LAST SATURDAY -  Simon G. Fisher, 63, Baptist minister and former school teacher, died unexpectedly about 7:00 Saturday morning at his home in South Charleston.  At the time of his death he was connected with the Veterans Administration of Huntington.  Mr. Fisher was the son of the late Samuel and Mary Dawson Fisher of Jackson County. He held pastorates in several Baptist churches of the state, coming to Charleston to reside about 17 years ago.  He had lived in South Charleston about four years and had been with the Veterans administration since January.  Prior to that time he had been a science teacher at Woodrow Wilson junior high school.   Mr. Fisher was a member of Cameron lodge, A.F.&A.M. No. and was a York Rite Mason and a honorary member of the IOOF.  He had been a member of the Baptist temple 13 years, was an associate teacher of the Sunday school and a member of the Fred O. Blue Bible class.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Corda G. Fisher; four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Heaton and Mrs. Marie Smith, Carmel, Calif., Mrs. Norene Layne, New Haven, and Mrs. Madelyne Vance, Logan; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Nichols, Alexandria, Va., Mrs. Minerva Davis, Dunbar, Mrs. Phoebe Ransom, Liberty; two brothers, Charles Fisher of Wichita, Kan., and Austin Fisher, Shellsburg, Ia., both of whom are ministers; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
