Information: RIPLEY - Myrtle Gay Fisher, 80, of Ripley, formerly of Given, died Dec. 14, 1998, in St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.  She was a homemaker.  Surviving:  sons, Dorsel of Given, Gene of Ripley, Dean of Sandyville; daughters, Dolores Kersey of Sissonville, Janice Southall of Staats Mill, Connie Hayes of Given; brothers, Lowell and Larry Skeen, both of Florida, Dorman Skeen of Clendenin; sisters, Freda Cummings of Ripley, Frances Humphreys of Dunbar, Emma Fisher and Virginia Fisher, both of Sissonville; caregivers, Margaret ""Snookie"" Randolph, Cindy Asbury, Rebecca Beem and Cora Mullinex; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.  Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Dennis D. Shirer officiating.  Burial will be in the Fisher family cemetery, Millertown.  Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. JACKSON STAR NEWS/December 16, 1998 -Myrtle Gay Fisher, 80, of Ripley, formerly of Given,died December 14, 1998 at St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.  She was born in Jackson County the daughter of the late Harvey and Pearl Kerns Skeen.  She died oa ALS-Lou Gerhig's Disease.  She was a homemaker and she had four caregivers, Margaret (Snookie) Randolph, Cindy Asbury, Rebecca Beem and Cora Mullinex.      In addition to her caregivers, she is survived by three sons, Dorsel Fisher of Given, Gene Fisher of Ripley and Dean Fisher of Sandyville; three daughters, Delores Kersey of Sissonville, Janice Southall of Statts Mill, and Connie Hayes of Given; three brothers, Lowell and Larry Skeen of Florida and Dorman Skeen of Clendenin; four sisters, Freda Cummings of Ripley, Emma and Virginia Fisher of Sissonville and Frances Humphreys of Dunbar; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Delos Fisher.  Visitation will be today (Wednesday) from 6 to 9 p.m. at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, and services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Vail Funeral Home with the Pastor Dennis D. Shirer officiating.  Burial will be in Fisher Family Cemetery, Millertown.
