Information: Howard C. Fisher, 81, of Given, died July 22, 1996 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.  He was born in Kanawha county, a son of the late Emmitt and Icie Westfall Fisher.  He was a U. S. Navy veteran, a retired farmer and was instrumental in the creation of the Jackson County Livestock Market at Fairplain.  Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Fisher; three sons, Dorsel Fisher of Given, Gene Fisher of Ripley and Dean Fisher of Sandyville; three daughters, Dolores Kersey of Sissonville, Janice Southall of Staats Mill and Connie Hayes of Given; two brothers, Charley Pritt and Harold Fisher, both of Sissonville; one sister, Phyllis Raynes of Sissonville; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dessie Witt Fisher; one son, Delos Fisher; two brothers, Ed Pritt and Andrew Pritt; and three sisters, Vallie Steward, Pat Canterbury and Sydney Holmes.  Services 2 p.m. Wednesday, Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, the Revs. Charlie Payne and Herman Robinson officiating.  Burial Fisher Cemetery, Sissonville.
