Information: RIPLEY - A Ripley man died after being injured in a weekend automobile accident, police said today. Homer Steven Fisher, 37, died Monday in Charleston Area Medical Center's General Division of injuries he received in a two-car collision which occurred at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, said a spokeswoman for the Ripley Police Department. The accident occurred when Fisher's car swerved across the center line of W. Va. 21 in Ripley and collided with a car driven by Harold E. Burgess, 33, of Ravenswood, the spokeswoman said. Burgess sustained minor injuries and no one else was injured in the crash, she said. No charges were filed in connection with the accident, the spokeswoman said. Fisher was an employee of H. F. Car Wash, Ripley and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving; wife, Debra Ann Fisher, daughters, Augusta Renee and Carly Jo, at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Fisher of Ripley. Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Pleasant View Methodist Church, Kenna. Burial will be in Fisher Cemetery, Kenna. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Parsons Funeral Home. *Born Jan 30, 1950.
