Information: KENNA - Ernest Denver Fisher, 71, of Kenna, Jackson County, died May 31, 1992, at Memorial Division, CAMC, after a short illness. He was a retired shipping supervisor for Union Carbide with 37 years' service. He was a member, former Sunday school superintendent, trustee, and lay speaker for Pleasant View United Methodist Church, Kenna. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. He was a member of Ripley Masonic Lodge. Surviving: wife, Lucille Dean Fisher; daughters, Cheryl Burkhammer of Damascus, Md., Kathy L. Thomas of Kenna; son, Richard A. of Kenna; five grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Long-Fisher Funeral Home, Pocatalico. NOTE: Earnest was a gratuate of Ripley High School Class of 1940 and was retired from Union Carbide Corp. .
