  <p>Information: Corrine Staats Fisher 87, of Ripley died November 13, 1998, in Jackson General Hospital.  She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Enoch and Allie Carney Staats.  She graduated from Marshall College and West Virginia University.  She was a past president of the Ripley Women&#39;s Club, a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Jackson County Historical Society.  She published weekly Jackson County church histories. She was active in saving Statts Mill Covered Bridge and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley.  Survivors include one son, Robert L. Fisher of Florida; one daughter, Rosemary Corder of Bridgeport; and five grandchildren.  Services were Sunday, November 15, 1998 at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Ken Krimmel officiating.  Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.</p>
