Information: A. P. (Ab) Fisher, a well known Ravenswood resident, died last Thursday at a Vienna nursing home at the age of 91. He had been ill for some time. He operated a supermarket here for a number of years in the building now occupied by Ward's Market. Funeral services were held at the Chamber Funeral Home Sunday, with the Rev. George Weirick officiating, Burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery. Mr. Fisher, born at Fairplain, a son of the late Silvester and Louisa Fisher, was a member of the First Methodist Church at Ravenswood. He was a member of Ashton Lodge, A. F. and A. M., Ravenswood. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Velma Hawk, Morgantown, Mrs.Claudine Harrison, Gainsville, Fla., and Mrs. Helen Harrison, Parkersburg; four sons, Glenn Fisher, Fairmont, Jerald Fisher, Pittsburgh, Pa., Arlin Fisher, Odendon, Md., and Mike Fisher, Castlebury, Fla. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Bertha Casto, Ripley; and a brother, Squire Fisher, Huntington; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. His first wife, Julia Waybright Fisher died in 1941. Later he married Bertha Mathews who died in 1964. Burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
