Information: Virgil L. ""Bud"" Finch, 75, of Nitro, died Monday evening in Putnam Health Care Center, Hurricane, after an extended illness. He was the brother of Ethel Waggoner of Sherman and Maxile Finch of Cottageville. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Teays Valley Presbyterian church and the Nitro Moose Lodge. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the American Viscose Plant in Nitro. Additional survivors include his wife, Frances Lane Finch; one daughter, Mrs. June Cooper of Winfield; two additional sisters, Velma Marshall of Mineral Wells, and Ocie Jones of Kanawha City; one additional brother, Burl Finch of Mulden, SC; and one grandson. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Cooke and Pauley Funeral Home Chapel, Nitro, with the Rev. J. D. Harrah officiating. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call today from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. The Moose Lodge will hold a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
