  <p>Information: STATTS MILL - Virgie E. Fields, 92, died Sunday, October 3, 1999 at Parkview Health Care Center, Parkersburg WV following a long illness.  She was born April 1, 1907 in Jackson county, the daughter of the late Rector and Alice Westfall Rhodes.  She was a member of the Vista Community Church.  She was a homemaker.         She is survived by one son, Radus Fields, Massillon, OH; three daughters, Edith Buck, Massillon, OH, Annabelle Carney, Ripley, Rita Casto, Statts Mill; two sisters, Thelma Casto, Huntington WV, Vessie Warner, Ravenswood WV; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, the late Fred Fields; two brothers and two sisters.  Services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 1999 11:00 a.m. at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Reverend Arnold Conant officiating.  Burial will be at Fairplain Cemetery, Fairplain WV.</p>
