  <p>Information: Ova James Fields, 82 of Statts Mill died Dec. 11, 1989 at Elder Care nursing home following a long illness.  He was born Feb. 8, 1907 at Statts Mill, son of the late David and Alta Donovan Fields.  He was a farmer and member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.  Survivors:  wife, Elva Fisher Fields; four sons; Fildert and Arnold, Statts Mill; Romie, Kentuck; Charles, Romney; seven daughters; Nancy Carney, MIllwood; Evalana Pauley, Portland, Ohio; Iva Walker and Thelma Whitehouse, both of Ripley; Alma Davisson, Ravenswood; Sharon Crihfield and Mrs. Jessie Price, both of Statts Mill; Margaret Jeffries, Gay; 21 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 13, 1:00 p.m at Parsons Funeral Home with the Rev. Orville Walker officiating.  Burial will be in Woodfell Cemetery, Statts Mill.</p>
