Information: Alfred Fields, 53 years old, a farmer of the Statts Mills community, died at the Starcher hospital in Ripley Monday night after a brief illness.  The funeral services were held at the home near Staats Mills on Wednesday with Rev. Boyd Scott in charge and burial was in the George Casto Cemetery.  He is survived by his wife, three brothers, Fred, Enoch, and William Fields, all of Statts Mills, and three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Fisher, of Gay; Mrs. Leola Miller, of Letart, and Mrs. Della Thomas, of Staats Mills.
