Information: Ralph Waldo Ferrell, 90, of Richmond Dale, Ohio, formerly of Ripley, died June 2, 1989, in the Chillicothe Veterans Administration Medical Center, following an extended illness.  He was born December 30, 1898, in Flat Rock, W. Va., to Fulton S. and Stella Blanche Gandee Ferrell.  On Feb. 12, 1921, he married the former Mary A. McIntyre, who died Sept.24, 1984.  Surviving:  daughters, Mrs. Walter (Bernice) Kempton, Stuart, Fla., and Mrs. Emerson (Eleanor) Richards, Inverness, Fla., Richmond Dale, and Gene E. Ferrell, Tampa, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; three sisters, Mrs. H. C. (Ruby) Kephart, Cuyahoga Falls, Mrs. Reva McGrew, Waverly, Tenn., and Mrs. Mabel Wilson, Ormond Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a son, Terry and an infant grandson.  Mr. Ferrell served with the Army during World War I. He worked for the Miami Gravel Co. for 35 years, and then was an operating engineer with the union hall in Columbus. Upon retirement, he owned and operated a service station in Richmond Dale.  Funeral service was held Tuesday in the Ware Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Lusher officiating.  Burial was in Little Mound Cemetery, where there were military graveside rites.
