Information: PROMINENT RHS SUPPORTER, GOP LEADER, CLAIMED - Prominent Jackson County resident Donald (Don) Cameron Ferguson, 80, of Klondike Road, Ripley, died Thursday, April 20, 1989, at Jackson General Hospital following an extended illness.  He was an ardent supporter of Ripley High School and served as vice president of the Ripley High School Athletic Boosters Club for 30 years.  He was a fromer chairman of the Jackson County Republican Party.  He served as Jackson County Clerk or 12 years and was a former Jackson County teacher.  He served as Lieutenant JG in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Company. He was a Methodist.  He was born Feb. 3, 1909, son of the late Dr. Joseph H. and Etta Harrison Ferguson.  Survivors include one daughter, Colleen Harrison, Cornwall, NY; two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Louise in April 1985.  Services was Sunday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial was in Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville.
