  <p>Information:      Funeral services were held Monday at the Ogdin Funeral Home, Parkersburg, for Edgar R. Abels, 75,    who was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph&#39;s Hospital, Parkersburg, Saturday. The Rev. Samuel    Harford officiated with burial in Arlington Memorial Gardens. Born in Jackson County, he was a son    of the late John and Alice Anderson Abels, and was a retired agent for the Metropolitan Life Insurance    Co. He was a member of the St. Andrew&#39;s Church, North Parkersburg, Kiwanis Club and the IOOF    Lodge. A veteran of World War I, he was a life-long resident of West Virginia. Survivors include his    wife, Mrs. Lesta Frankhouser Abels; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Collins, Parkersburg; two brothers,    Elliott Abels, Parkersburg and Fred Abels, Williamstown; one sister, Mrs. Laura Rankin, Ft. Myers,    Fla.; four grandchildren, Jan Lincicome, Gregory, Jeffrey and Julia Abels.</p>
