Information: Funeral services for Hubert C. Faber, 67, were held from the Emma Chapel Church on Saturday with Rev. Hobson D. Fisher in charge and burial was in the family plot in the church cemetery. Mr. Faber, a widely known farmer of Jackson and Kanawha counties and until recently a resident of the Stone Ridge community near Ripley, died at the home of a daughter in Dunbar last Thursday following a long illness. He was born March 2, 1880, a son of John H. and Mary (Corbin) Faber on Grass Lick near the home of his maternal grandfather, Oliver Perry Corbin, who was one of the pioneer settlers in that section of Jackson County. On August 21, 1903, which was just 44 years to the day prior to his death, he married Ida Fisher, who died suddenly in March 1916. Surviving are four children, Merle of Chicago, Darrell of Akron, Myron of Charleston, and May of Dunbar; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Slawter of Kenna, Mrs. W. H. Vickers of Elkview, Mrs. R. L. Bird of Charleston and Mrs. Frank Yost of Pt. Pleasant; six brothers, H. O. Faber of Sissonville, H. T. Faber of Kenna, Dovenor Faber of Morgantown, R. H. Faber of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, and Corbett L. Faber of Cortland, Ohio.
