Information: Hiram Oliver Faber, 83-year-old retired farmer of Sissonville, died at Cross Lanes on Saturday afternoon after a long illness. For many years he was one of the widely known farmers of Jackson county and served a term as a member of the House of Delegates from this county. He was born at Kenna in March 1878, a son of John H. and Mary Virginia Corbin Faber. He was a member of the Watts Chapel Methodist church. Survivors include his wife, Della Smith Faber; two sons, Karr Faber and John Smith Faber, both of Sissonville; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Miller of Cross Lanes and Mrs. Elizabeth Sumpter of Cincinnati; three brothers, Dovenor Faber of Charleston, Hedge T. Faber of Kenna and Corbett L. Faber of Cortland, O.; three sisters, Mrs. W. H. Vickers of Elkview, Mrs. Lee Bird of Charleston and Mrs. Henry Slawter of Kenna; 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held on Monday afternoon at Sissonville with Rev. Vaughn Fisher and the Rev. Frame officiating and the burial was in the Grasslick Baptist church cemetery at Kenna.
