  <p>Information: William Clifford Evans, 73, of Cottageville, died after a short illness Monday, January 1, at the Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis, Ohio.  He was the son of the late Willis E. Evans and Elizabeth Lloyd Evans.  A retired state road employee with approximately 20 years service, Mr. Evans had also been an employee for several years with the Pinnell-Pfost Construction Company and with the Jackson County Soil Conservation Commission.  He is survived by his widow, Bessie Randolph Evans; one son, Harold E. Evans of Point Pleasant; one step-son, Charles L. Casto of Cottageville; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m. at the Casto Funeral Home at Evans with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial will be in the Blaine Memorial Cemetery at Cottageville.  Friends may call at the funeral home.</p>
