Information: Bobby L. Epling, 52 of Spencer died May 8, 1989 in CAMC Memorial Division after a brief illness. He was born at Ridgeview, Boone County, Oct. 1, 1936, a son of Leonard C. and Verba Messer Epling of Ripley. He was a former vice-president of the First National Bank of Spencer with 23 years of service. He was co-owner of the Town and Country Auto Parts Store in Spencer. He was a member of Moriah Lodge #38 AF & AM of Spencer, Wetzel Chapter #27 OES of Spencer, York Rite and Dow Commandry #28, Jackson Chapter #48 of R.A.M., all of Ravenswood, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Protestant and lifelong resident of West Virginia. Survivors: parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Epling of Ripley; wife, Charlotte Street Epling; sons, Steven Epling of Ft. Knox, Ky, Scot Epling of Morgantown; daughter, Robin Epling of Charleston; brother, Ray Epling of Ravenswood; sister, Mrs. Norma Pursley of Leon; two grandsons. Services will be held at Sinnett Funeral Home Chapel in Spencer today (Wednesday) May 10, 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. James Breedlove officiating. Interment will be in Eventide Cemetery at Spencer.
