  <p>Information: Robert L. Ely Sr., 50, of St. Albans, died Sunday evening, Oct. 30, 1988, in a car-pedestrian accident on U. S. 60 near St. Albans,  He was born in Sherman, a son of Edith Van Kirk Durst of Cottageville.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a boiler maker and a member of the Boiler Makers Union Local 167, Charleston.        Surviving:  son, Robert of St. Albans; half brother, Charles Cotton Sayre, Parkersburg; sisters, Shirley Brown of Point Pleasant, Dotty Rumbaugh of Teays Valley, Patricia McConaha and Margaret Baxter, both of St. Albans.  Services will be 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Raymond Skeen officiating.  Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery.</p>
