  <p>Information: Hubert Leland Adkins, 89, of West Hamlin, died Sunday, Aug. 31, in the Huntington VA Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of Center Point United Baptist Church, West Hamlin. He was a member of the American Legion. Surviving: daughters, Clarine Brewer of Ceredo, Nina Hazlett of West Hamlin, Ouida Sanson of Barboursville; sons, Bethel and William H., both of Huntington, Ralph of Palm Bay, Fla., Earl of Ravenswood, the Rev. Emmitt of Cottageville, Hubert Jr. of Union Lake, Mich., Darrell, Lawrence, Larry and Don, all of West Hamlin; sisters, Bessie Thompson of West Hamlin, Angie Swanson of Huntington; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Center Point United Baptist Church with the Rev. William Hughes Jr. and the Rev. Ferris Burton officiating. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock. McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, is in charge of arrangements.       </p>
