  <p>Information: Herbert Lee ""Hub"" East, 81, of Ravenswood, passed away August 7, 2012 at Eldercare of Ripley.  He was born July 1, 1931 in Christiansburg VA to Ellis Marshall East and Nannie Mae (Reece) East.  He served in the Army with 7 years service and he was a crane operator for Pechiney Rolled Products, Ravenswood.  He was a member of Ravenswood Church of God and Ravenswood VFW Post 6669.  He served in Germany during the Korean War. He was a jack of all trades having built his own home.  His grandchildren called him Poppa Hubba Dubber.  Survivors:  wife, Irene Cupp East, Ravenswood WV; sons, Gerald ""Jerry"" East, VA, and Joel ""Joe"" East and his wife Kathy, NC; daughters, Vicky East, and Melissa Leslie and husband Joel, all of PA; grandchildren, Ryan and wife Shirley, Nicki, Caleb, Kayla, Michael, Alex, Carson, and Reece; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia East, and Helen Hemetek and husband Frank.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Joel East, Marshall East, Rebecca Adkins, David East and John East.  Special thanks to Eldercare of Ripley, and many special friends, neighbors, and church family.  Services are Friday, August 10, 2012 at 11 am at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood with Rev. Carl Mann presiding.</p>
