Information: SILVERTON MAN COMMITS SUICIDE - The dead body of Orie Dye, of Silverton, was found Saturday morning across the river from Ravenswood.  The body was lying in the road close by his car, where beyond doubt he had committed suicide by shooting himself.  A note was found on the body, saying that he intended to kill himself.  He had been gone from his home since Thursday.  The coroner from Pomeroy was called and the inquest was held.  The body was then taken to the Palmer funeral parlor in Ravenswood.  Funeral services were held at the Silverton church Monday.  The deceased is survived by his widow and four children.
