  <p>Information: Ruth Virginia Durst, 83 of Cottageville departed this life Feb. 28, 2005 in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley following an extended illness.  She was born April 23, 1921, in Millwood, a daughter of the late John and Gertrude Mae Thornton Roush.  She was also preceded in death by brothers, Ray, Bernard and Harold.  She was a retired cook from the Jackson County Board of Education with 21 years of service.  She was a member of the Cottageville United Methodist Ladies Aid for 35 years and a member of the Cottageville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 35 years.  Survivors include her sons, Clinton E. Durst of Charleston and Larry Joe Durst of Cottageville; sister, Ruby Hunt of Cottageville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans with the Rev Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville.</p>
