Information: Daisy Violet Durst, 91, of Leon WV, passed away March 14, 2015, at her home while surrounded by her family.  She was born August 11, 1923 in Leon, the daughter of the late James Henry and Mattie Margaret (Harris) McClure.  Her husband, the Rev. Kenneth W. Durst; brothers, Adam ""Junior"" McClure, Wayne McClure, Cecil McClure, and Raymond McClure; sisters, Margaret McCloud, Lizzie Bentley, Deloris Nelson, and Audrey McClure; granddaugher, Beverly Jo (Click) Owings; son-in-law, Dayton Durst; and daughter-in-law, Joan Durst, also preceded her in death.  Daisy was a homemaker, an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling.  She was a long-standing member of the Gospel Lighthouse Community Church, Chestnut Ridge, Mt. Alto, where she had served as Sunday school teacher, treasurer, and secretary.  She was a founding member of the Mt. Flower Rescue Squad, and served the community as an E.M.T. for 17 years.  She was also a member of the Ravenswood Recycled Teenagers.      Survivors include her sons, Ronald Durst of Pt. Pleasant and James Durst (Sue) of Mt. Alto; daughters, Dorothy Click (Philip, Jr.) of Mt. Alto, Lois Durst of Cottageville, and Lydia Stone (Roger) of Letart; sisters, Viola McDade of Pt. Pleasant and Vera Barnhart of Columbus OH; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.  Service will be 1 p.m. (today) Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans WV, with Pastor Mark Price and the Rev. Jim Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery, Flatrock.  Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Email condolences may be sent to: castofh@gmail.com.
