Information: Bobby Lee Durst, 75, of Ripley, left this life Wednesday evening, October 24, 2012, following a short illness. He was born April 29, 1937 in Marmet, son of the late Roy and Geraldine Carter Durst. He retired from Pechiney Rolled Products (formerly Kaiser Aluminum) as a furnace operator after a career spanning 43 years. Bobby enjoyed hunting, coin collecting, football (especially Viking football) and western movies. He was a Civil War buff and amateur treasure hunter with a metal detector. He also collected Indian relics and muzzle loaders. His quick wit and sense of humor was always a source of amusement to those who knew him. Bob Durst will be missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him. Surviving: his loving wife, Betty; daughter, Debbie Durst Goodson (Bobby) of Ripley; Lisa Martin (Mark) of Ripley and Shari Cunningham of Charlotte NC; sons, Randall Lee Durst of Parkersburg, Raymon Cunningham (Deanna) of Kenna; grandchildren, Hollie Miller (Tracy) of Ripley, Nathan Wright (Megan) of New York, Brittany Moon (Josh) of Parkersburg, Robbie Goodson, Ali, Milli, and Sydni Cunningham of Ripley; great-grandchildren, Caleb Comer, Carter, Macin and Hayden Miller of Evans and Addison and Garett Moon, all of Parkersburg. Funeral services were Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Ripley with Reverend Charles Hicks officiating.
