Information: Mrs. Beatrice Violet Aston, 74, of Kentuck, died Saturday at Turtle Creek Convalescent Home in Parkersburg after a long illness.  She was born Feb. 8, 1902, in Jackson County, daughter of the late G. J. and Lucretia Good Kerns, and taught school in Jackson County in the early 1920s and later for a brief time in New Mexico. She was a private detective in Ft. Worth, Texas, then became owner of a furniture store in Ft. Worth.  She retired from the furniture business before returning to Jackson County in ?.  She was a member of the ........Christ in Ft. Worth and after moving back to Jackson County, attended the Joe's Run Church.  Her husband, Numan Aston, preceded her in death.  Survivors include six brothers, Okey Kerns of Charleston, Guy Kerns of New Jersey, Kenneth Kerns of Kentuck, Miner Kerns of Liverpool, Alvin Kerns of Oregon, Dale Kerns of Florida and a sister, Mrs. Melba Knight of Florida. Services were held Monday at Parsons Funeral Home Chapel, Ripley.  Burial was in Kerns Cemetery, Kentuck.
