Information: Donna Lynn Boggess Duff of Goldtown, departed this world Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, after a swift, yet courageous, battle with lung cancer.  She passed away at home with her husband and sisters at her side.  Donna was brn May 20, 1958, the 10th child of Dempsey and Arbutis Boggess.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father and her brothers, Kester, Ronnie and Kenton.  She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jerry of Goldtown; her son, Jason of Bluffton SC; sisters, Shirley Cippola of Wooster, Ohio, Kay Loar of Metamora, Ohio, Sheila Lovejoy of Charleston and Kim McCready of Knoxville TN; brother, Rick Boggess of Kenna; and many extended family members and friends who deeply mourn her passing.  She is also survived by her best friend, Donna Leaptrot, of Kenna, who was like another sister.  Donna was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a caring sister, a fun aunt and a true friend.  She was an active volunteer with many organizations. She was recently named WSAZ's ""Hometown Hero"" for her crocheting more than 100 hats for chemo patients after she lost her hair while undergoing chemo herself. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, Dec. 13, at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in Fisher Cemetery, Goldtown.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to the Southern Jackson County Volunteer Fire Department, Kenna WV 25248.
