Information: Freda Marceline Dornon, 93, of Thornville, OH, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark.  Born February 12, 1910, in Cottageville, to the late William Clark and Vern Casto, she worked in advertising for the AFL-CIO, and at Shelby Air Base in Shelby, OH.  In 1937, she helped restart Pleasantview Church in West Virginia where she played piano for many years.  She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a Brownie leader in the Thornport area.  She could out-fish, out-swim, and kick a football further than any of her sons.   Survivors include her daughter, Helen Roselee Hiles of Thornville; sons, Juian “Soup” (Marvel) Dornon of Thornville, Robert Lee (Audrey) Dornon of Cardinton, OH, Frederick C. (Ruby) Dornon of Newark, Roger Keith (Barbara) Dornon of Thornville, Larry Gene (Sarah) Dornon of Millersport and Charles “Bill” (Penny) Dornon of Thornville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 11 great- great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Dornon, who passed away in 1984; grandsons, Robert Ray Hiles and William David Dornon; brothers, Holly and Dennis; and sisters, Evelyn and Mildred.  Service at St. John’s Lutheran Church and burial at Fairmount Cemetery, Newark, OH.
