  <p>Information: Virgie B. Paxton Ashby, 87, of Elkview, died May 20, 1996, in St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, after a short illness.  She was a homemaker, a member of Pauley Memorial Chapel, Frame and Glory Road Quartet.  Surviving:  sons, Basil of Charleston, Junior of Venice, Fla.; daughters, Janet G. Samples of Elkview, Lorene Baldwin and Doilene Harper, both of Charleston, Wilma Taylor of Walton, Erma Lumbardo of Michigan, Faye Ellis of Ripley; brother, Virgil Paxton of Walton; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Myers Funeral Home, Elkview with the Rev. Don Young, the Rev. James Burdette, the Rev. Edward ""Buster"" Quigley and the Rev. Don Burdette officiating. Burial will be in Baxter Cemetery. Elkview.  Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.</p>
