Information: The Rev. Vairl Winter and the Rev. Paul Patton officiated at funeral services Friday afternoon for Carl Dolan, 74, of Kenna, who died suddenly Tuesday night at home. Mr. Dolan was active in community and county wide activities. He was a member of the Grasslick Baptist Church at Kenna, having been a resident of Jackson County since 1937. He was a trustee of the church, charter member of Kenna Grange, president of the Jackson County Junior Fair Association for nine years, having helped organize the association. He was a member of IOOF Lodge, past president of the Jackson County Council of Churches and was named district supervisor of Western Soil Conservation for Jackson County. Mr. Dolan was instrumental in securing a water system from Ripley to Fairplain, Kenna and Fisher Ridge areas. Survivors include his wife, Okla; daughter, Jean Vealey, Kenna; stepson, Harold Ingram, Charleston; four sisters, Elva Hoff, Cottageville, Alice Hood, Lelia Pignato and Sallye Stevens, all of Florida; one brother, the Rev. James Dolin, San Diego, California; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at Grasslick Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. *Born Aug. 26, 1904
