Information: Velma Etta Dillon, 73, of Sandyville, died Tuesday in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following a long illness.  She was born in Sandyville, a daughter of the late Oscar Orusha and Alice Robinson Morgan.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Sandyville Church of Christ.  She is survived by her husband, Harvey Dillon; one son, Howard Dillon of Sandyville; eight daughters, Mary Braniff of Vienna, Lalia Hoschar of Anchorage, Alaska, Coral Small of Rockport, Barbara Slusher of Belleville, Ila Petty and Christine Lane, both of Sandyville, Gail Riffle and Cheryl Pence, both of Ravenswood; stepdaughter, Audry Fisher, one brother, Harold Morgan of Sandyville; one sister, Lilia Riggs of Sandyville; 36 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.  Services were Friday at Parsons Funeral Home Chapel, Ripley with the Rev. Denver Haught officiating.  Burial was in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
