Information: Virgil Armstrong Dickerson, 97, of 201 Gallatin Street, Ravenswood, died December 31, 1995, at his home.  He was born at Three Forks Sycamore, near Ripley WV, a son of Og and Mary Amelia Miller Dickerson.  He was a teacher for three years and a rural mail carrier for 37 years.  He was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association and a former member of the Cottageville Order of Odd Fellows.  He was an avid rose grower and member of the First United Methodist Church in Ravenswood.  Surviving are his wife, Marie Stone Dickerson; two daughters, Ireta Sauer of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Dolores Woehrmann of Cleveland Heights, OH; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth H. Dickerson; one brother, Warren Dickerson; and two sisters, Rose Henderson and Ruby Carney.  Services were at Straight, Tucker & Roush Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Hogan officiating.  Burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
