Information: Funeral services were held Sunday at the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Grantsville, for Orval DeWees, 89, of Munday, who died Thursday evening at his home.  Burial was in the Maze Cemetery.  He was the father of Paul DeWees of Ravenswood.  Born in Wirt County near Munday, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christopher DeWees.  He was a retired farmer and oil field worker and attended the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church.  Survivors include three additional sons, Alford of Ashtabula, Ohio, Alva of Washington and Elza of Belpre, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Etta DeWees, in 1968, two sons, one daughter and one stepson.  Stump Funeral Home In Grantsville was in charge of arrangements.
