Information: Dewey D. DeWees, 73, of Kenna, died Wednesday in Jackson General Hospital after a short illness.  He was born July 7, 1899, son of the late David and Dora Parsons DeWees and was a member of the Watts Chapel Methodist Church.  He was a retired employee of Union Carbide after 38 years of service.  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eva DeWees; one son, Averal of Kenna; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Rhodes of Kenna; two sisters, Mrs. Erma Ramsey of Parkersburg and Mrs. Esther Harris of Charleston; and 10 grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Friday at the Vail Funeral Home with the Rev. John D. Cumberledge and the Rev. Robert Melton officiating.  Burial was in the Stone Lick Cemetery.
