Information: No date provided David James DeWees, 71, of Kenna, died Saturday after a short illness.  Funeral services were held Monday at the Ripley Baptist Temple.  The Rev. Ted Winkler officiated at the service and burial was in Stonelick Cemetery at Kenna.  Born at Kenna, he was the son of the late David J. and Icie Parsons DeWees.  A farmer, he was a member of the Ripley Baptist Church.  Survivors include his widow, Iva Casto DeWees; one son , Edsel of Kenna; one brother, Dewey of Kenna; two sisters, Mrs. B. A. Harrison of Charleston and Mrs. G. E. Ramsey of Parkersburg.  Parsons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
