Information: Services were held Monday for George W. Dernberger, 89, a resident of the Home for Aged Men, Warwood, Wheeling.  Born in Jackson County, he was the son of Hiram and Elizabeth Allen Dernberger.  He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Wheeling and a retired employee of Herman Strauss, Inc. of Wheeling.  Dernberger was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Loeffler, in 1942 and a son, Howard G. in 1968.  Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Perry Lanning of Bethlehem, Wheeling; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
