Information: Carlton B. Denning, 60, of Ravenswood, died Sunday after an extended illness. He was born in Ritchie County, a son of the late Burgess and Charity Morrison Denning. He was medically retired from Kaiser Aluminum, following 25 years of service and was a member of the first United Methodist Church in Ravenswood. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Clara Belle Tucker Denning, a daughter, Mona Jean Denning of Richmond, Virginia; two sons, David E. Denning, MD, of Huntington and Michael R. Denning, DDS of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Kenneth of Orlando, Florida, Fremont of Pennsboro and Jack of Mesa, Arizona; three sisters, Gertrude Palmer of Woodbridge, Virginia, Pauline Gettys of Cheverly, Maryland and Nancy Lee Harms of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and six grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m. today at the First United Church, with Rev. Charles Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow later in the Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Disease Association, 600 East Eleventh Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, 43211 and/or the First United Methodist Church of Ravenswood.
