  <p>Information: On June 7, 2012 Paul Chester DeLong of Murraysville WV went to be with the Lord following a courageously fought battle with cancer.  He was born October 23, 1937 at home, to the late Roy Chester and Geraldine Inez (Cather) DeLong of Skull Run Road, Murraysville WV.  He was employed by the Jackson County Board of Education as a school bus operator.  He retired from Kaiser Aluminum/Pechiney after 35 years of service.  His spirit, smile and laughter were contagious.  During his retirement he enjoyed serveral relaxing activities:  spending time with his grandchildren, watching Wheel of Fortune and NASCAR.  Many evenings you could find him at McDonalds in Ravenswood presiding at the ""Liar&#39;s Table.""  He also enjoyed being with friends at the ""Ho Down"", listening to bluegrass music played on Thursday nights.  On his farm he could be found devoting several hours to his recreational farming activities.  He spent many years volunteering and helping with community activities, such as the Murraysville CEOS and early years of the Murraysville Mountaineers 4-H Club.         In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Flora Janet (Hunter) DeLong; brother, William Adria DeLong; and infant brother, Michael DeLong; sister, Margie (DeLong) Adams; and brothers-in-law, Benny Adams and William Carter.  He is survived by his children, Alicia and Terry Bennett of Ravenswood, Janeann and Greg Lowe of Ravenswood; his grandchildren, Casey and Janisa Bennett of Lakenheath AFB, United Kingdom, Tyler Bennett of Ravenswood and Jacob Bennett of Ripley; granddaughter, Sophia Grace DeLong of Ravenswood; sisters, Loretta Carter of Ravenswood, Leah (Bob) Dent of Rockport, Rhonda (Danny) Lester of Ravenswood, Doris (Greg) Conger of Ravenswood WV; sisters-in-law, Norma DeLong of Murraysville WV and Mary Jane (Dovenor) Jarrell of Ravenswood WV; also including inlaws, nieces and nephews from the Raleigh County area; brothers, Roy Lee (Patricia) DeLong of Murraysville WV and Roger (Leticia) DeLong of San Diego CA; like a son, Larry and Lacretia Milhoan, Murraysville WV; special friend, Linda Fisher of Gay WV; also several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.  Services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 11 am at the Milhoan Ridge Baptist Church, Murraysville, with Pastor Dee Rhodes officiating.  Burial will follow in Howell Cemetery, Milhoan Ridge, Murraysville.  Friends may visit the family at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, on Monday, June 11, from 3 to 8 pm.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at roush94@yahoo.com or on our website at www.roushfuneralhome.com.</p>
