Information: Homer Franklin Davis, 89, of Mineral Wells, passed away at his residence June 14, 2002. He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Henry L. and Della Boone Davis. He was retired from FMC after 39 years as an electrician. He was a member of the Pettyville United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of over 68 years, Dorothy Suck Davis; a daughter, Martha Ellen and husband, Charles Grisso, of Ravenswood; a daughter-in-law, Betty Davis of Mineral Wells; two brothers, Edwin E. Davis of Williamstown and Bud Davis of Belleville; a sister, Mabel Brady of Barberton OH; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In additon to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Dewey Gene Davis, Sr.; five sisters, Helen, Martha, Betty, Gertrude and Dollie Irene; and a half-brother, Russell Boone. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lambert- Tatman Funeral Home in South Parkersburg with Rev. James B. Arbogast officiating. Burial in Sunset Memory Gardens.
