Information: Funeral services were held Saturday at the Ravenswood Church of Christ for Henry Leroy Davis, 89, of 201 Bedford Street, who died Wednesday at his home.  Evangelist A.M. Gillespie officiated and burial was in Ravenswood Cemetery.  Born in Jackson County, a son of the late William and Charlotte Coe Davis, he was a member of the Ravenswood Church of Christ.  He was owner and operator of Davis Signs in Ravenswood and was the first rural mail carrier in Jackson County, having begun that job in 1904 and retiring in 1935.  Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Betty Chancey of Ravenswood; Mrs. Gertrude Bradley, Mrs. Mabel Bradley and Mrs. Helen Coe, all of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Dollie Smith and Mrs. Martha Lockhart of Parkersburg; three sons, Homer Davis of Mineral Wells; Edwin Davis of Williamstown; Bud Davis of Belleville and several grandchildren.  Chambers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
