Obituary Date: 1918-03-29
Information: Exevera May (Pringle) Davis, daughter of G. W. and Mrs. Cora A. Pringle, was born at New Haven, Mason county, West Virginia, May 18, 1893, died at her home near Cottageville, Jackson county, West Virginia, March 20, 1918, aged 24 years, 10 months and two days. She was united in marriage to Clarence E. Davis, June 24, 1914. To this union three children were born. She was converted and united with the United Brethran church at Point Pleasant, W. Va. in 1902 and ever after lived a faithful devoted christian life. Her life in her home was all that a christian should exemplify-a devoted companion and loving mother. Her neighbors attest her many good qualities and express their loss in many words of sorrow and regret at her early taking away. Her funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. M. Slaughter of Huntington, who delivered an eloquent and thoughtful sermon to a large and attentive audience after which we laid her body in the cemetery on the hill to await the coming of the Master.
