  <p>Information: Donald Davis, Sr. 61, of Newark, died June 24, 1987, at his home.  He was born in Wood County, a son of Norma Deem Davis of Route 2, Parkersburg and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; he was retired from Johns Manville.  He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 15, Parkersburg.  He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Haines Davis; one son, Don Davis, Jr. of Parkersburg; two daughters, Carolyn Cline of Elizabeth and Pamela Griffith of Sandyville; two brothers, Robert Davis of Parkersburg and Delbert Davis of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; two sisters, Mildred Gaston of Davisville and Joanne Emerson of Williamstown; one granddaughter, five grandsons; two step-grandsons and a number of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers.  Services were Saturday at the Franklin Funeral Chapel.  Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. </p>
