Information: Death claimed Cottageville's oldest resident Monday when Addison Henry Davis, age 85, passed away at 5:45 in the evening, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lena Ankrum.  Mr. Davis was born in Doddridge county, a son of Joseph and Ruth Harris Davis.  He was a member of the Blacklick Baptist church.  Besides the daughter with whom he made his home, the aged man is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Agnes Naples, of Belle Center, Ohio, Mrs. Freda Boone and Mrs. Freddie Reynolds, both of Erie, Pa.; five sons (?), Hiram E. Davis of Salem, WV, and Clarence, Arthur and Charity G. Davis, all of Erie, Pa. and one sister, Mrs. Jennie Cottrill, of West Union, WV.  Funeral services were held from the U.B. church at Cottageville, with interment in the Blaine Memorial cemetery.
